COWRA
CHARDONNAY Gold Medal Cowra Wine show 2009, Bronze Medal Cowra Regional Show 2009
This wine
has been produced from hand-picked full
flavoured
fruit. It has a nose
of fresh peach. A short maturation in French oak
barrels has developed a well balanced palate of
peach and creamy malo
characters. A very easy
drinking Chardonnay that may be enjoyed with or
without
food.
2008 COWRA
VERDELHO Bronze Medal Cowra Regional Show 2008
Estate-grown
hand picked grapes
were used to produce this
delightfully fruity
dry
Verdelho. The wine reflects the typical fruit
flavours from the special
micro climate of our
boutique vineyard and finishes
with a clean, dry
palate. It
is delicious with
Mediterranean cuisine, seafood and white meat
dishes.
2008 COWRA LATE-PICKED
VERDELHO
This
semi-sweet table wine was
made from late-picked
grapes and fermented to retain residual sugar. It
has a lovely fresh fruity nose and flavour. Although
sweet and fruity this
wine is well balanced with
acid, leaving a clean but lingering finish on
the
palate. It is excellent with cheese and fruit platters, desserts and
spicy dishes.
2007 ‘BIG DRY WHITE’ a Verdelho/ sauvignon blanc
blend
This
is a full bodied ‘dry’ wine made from grapes hand –
picked in a ‘big
dry’ year. The blend has produced a
palate with very
intense flavours that may
be enjoyed with a variety
of
rich and spicy white meat dishes.
2006 ‘Cheeky’ Rose
This
luscious Rose was made from Shiraz grapes and
fermented to dryness. The nose
and palate are of
ripe raspberries with over
tones of cherries and
freshly
cut grass. It may be enjoyed as a pre-dinner drink
or with pork and spicy Asian cuisine.
2008 COWRA SHIRAZ Bronze Medal NSW Small Winemakers Show 2009, James Halliday's Top 100 NSW wine selection 2009
Small
hand-picked berries were used to produce this fruity
Shiraz. The nose is
of blackberries with lifted
spice. This deep
coloured wine was matured in French
oak barrels and
has a long
integrated palate. A great compliment to all richly
flavoured red meat and pasta dishes.
SEMILLON / VERDELHO DESSERT
WINE 3stars by Winestate
magazine This wine is
made from a blend of
very,
very ripe Semillon and Verdelho grapes. 2004
was chosen to make this wine for
the first time as
the season
was very dry. Although the grapes were left for an
extended period to ripen, the level of botrytis was
well managed. The palate is
of
rich intense flavours
with a clean crisp finish.
This "sticky" complements
strongly flavoured cheeses
and desserts - a
wonderful way to end any
meal!
FORTELHO - fortified
Verdelho
Handpicked
very ripe fruit,
with a touch of botrytis, was used
to produce this wine. After fortifying
with high
quality brandy spirit it was left to mature in 30 year old
Muscat barrels for 15 months. The nose is of fresh
orange peel and
almonds. The long palate is of
exotic berry flavours in harmony with the
brandy
spirit and lively acid. Fortelho is excellent as an aperitif,
either straight or on the rocks. It is also
wonderful after dinner with
coffee. Fortified Shiraz
This luscious fortified ?>Shiraz has a rich nose of pain epice (spice bread) and coffee with a hint of caramel and raisins. The palate is sweet and full with a clean finish.?>
